Repair Windows 10 System Files Via SFC or System File Checker

When Windows 10 starts acting up i.e. running slow or acting strangely, instead having to reinstall the whole Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, you can run a small utility for a few minutes to check and automatically repair Windows 10 system files.

Here’s how you can do it;

Click search icon or search bar next to the Windows start button and enter “cmd”. In the top menu, right-click “Command Prompt” and choose “Run as administrator”;

Next, issue this command;

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

After it is done, run this command;

sfc /scannow

It will take around 10 minutes and for results, you can browse to;

c:/windows/logs/cbs/cbs.log
