Amazon Lightsail WordPress Bitnami FTP Server and File Management via CoreFTP In Windows 10

First of all, install CoreFTP on your Windows 10 computer;

Next, visit this URL and enter your Amazon login/password;

https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/webapp/home/instances

Note down city/state name, public IP address and username of the bitnami WordPress server. Click “Account” link at the bottom to grab SSH keys;

Click the “SSH keys” and click “Download” button next to the WordPress server. Note down where you downloaded this PEM extension key;

After the SSH keys (with PEM extension) are downloaded, start CoreFTP and enter public IP address, username and click “Advanced”;

Click “SSH” option on the left menu and click three dots next to the “Key File”. Browse to the PEM file where you stored it on your local computer and press OK when done;

Location of WordPress Installation Files on Bitnami Server;

/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/

In your Core-FTP client, browse to the above folder to access WordPress installation files;

Here you can easily download, edit and upload any files you wish.

Configure SSL in WordPress Config.PHP File

Download config.php from WordPress root installation directory and replace ‘http://’ with ‘http://’ in the following code;

define(‘WP_HOME’, ‘https://’ . $_SERVER[‘HTTP_HOST’] . ‘/’);
